What is a buyers advocate?

A buyers advocate, or buyers agent, is a person hired to legally represent and assist a buyer during the purchase of a property.

Where are you located?

We are located in Hawthorn, Victoria.

What locations do you purchase property in?

We primarily purchase within a 20km radius of the CBD, however we often purchase in areas outside of this depending on our client’s needs.

Do you purchase properties in other states?

No as we are only based in Victoria at this time.

I am located overseas, can you purchase a property for me?

Yes, we welcome overseas clients and would be more than happy to assist.

Do you offer finance options?

No, however we can recommend mortgage brokers and financial planners/advisors.

What services do you offer?

We offer several purchasing services. Our main services are:

Full Search and Acquisition service: conducted whereby the buyers advocate does all of the legwork on behalf of the buyer. From sourcing, analysing, negotiating and bidding, it’s all covered by the Buyers Advocate.

Negotiation and Analysis service: offered for client’s who have already found a property they’re interested in. Buyer’s Advocate will analysis and research the property, and develop the best tactics to procure the property.

Are you the same as other Buyers Advocates?

No. We have 20 years of experience in purchasing property. We work solely for the buyer, therefore the buyers best interests are always represented and there are no potential conflicts of interest. We provide honest and objective advice to ensure you are well informed of all considerations. We are more than happy to tailor our services to suit the buyer, as we understand everyone is different.

Can I come in for a meeting before engaging your services?

Yes, we offer a free no-obligation consultation to discuss our services with you. You’re welcome to visit at our office, or we can come to you.

Am I required to meet with you before engaging your services?

No, we understand that time and location constraints sometimes do not permit a meeting, and we are happy to conduct the service via email, phone and Skype.

What are the costs involved, how much are your fees?

At Buyers Advocate, we pride ourselves on listening to our client’s needs. Prior to commencement of our service, we like to meet with you to discuss your specific requirements and agree the appropriate fee upfront.

How long will it take to purchase my property?

This depends upon your criteria and whether it is a home or an investment purchase.

How long do I have to pay the fees?

Your registration fee is required to be paid within 7 days of invoice date, and your success fee is payable within 7 days after the contract on the property becomes unconditional, however we can make alternate arrangements if required.
